Before you sit down

Important rules

  1. The tournament is conducted under the applicable Laws of Chess and tournament regulations.
  2. One player receives only one cash prize. If eligible for several, the higher prize is awarded.
  3. No electronic devices (mobile phones, smart devices or wrist watches) are allowed inside the tournament hall.
  4. Any protest against a decision of the Chief Arbiter must be submitted in writing within 15 minutes of the occurrence.
  5. Protest fee: ₹1,000, refunded if the appeal is upheld.
  6. The organisers reserve the right to reject any entry without assigning a reason.
  7. Free AC / Non-AC accommodation is first-come, first-served, subject to availability.
  8. Food is free for players only, on both tournament days. Parents / guardians may avail food on a token / payment basis.
